Apartment in pink in St. Petersburg, 100 m2

The interior in pink can be calm, but not boring. As in this Petersburg apartment. Pink color - the main character of the project Elena Uchevoy.
“The apartment is 100 m2. The customer, a philologist with a wonderful sense of humor and a thirst for life, wanted all shades of a pink-red gamut. She is retired, but this does not prevent her from seeing life in pink, communicating and traveling a lot, ”says Elena Uchaeva about a project that she had to conduct remotely from Moscow.
All the work took a little less than a year, but, according to Elena, everything could be much faster if it were not for the distance between the two capitals. “It’s harder to work at a distance, it’s harder to find the right contractors.”
The apartment is located in St. Petersburg, in the new building. Elena says that she is completely ordinary and, although she was chosen with her help, underwent a redevelopment during the repair. The result was: two bedrooms, separate kitchen and living room, two dressing rooms (this was a prerequisite for the customer), two bathrooms and a large hall with a storage system.
The pink color that the customer insisted on was an insidious thing. Designers usually prefer to use its muted shades, combining them with gray and black (this is a win-win). Elena Uchaeva chose a more complex palette: at least a dozen shades of pink and a few rather impressive prints came together in the interior, from lush tropical bushes on the wall in the guest bedroom to blooming roses on the upholstery of the chairs in the living room.

Pink in different shades is present in the rhombus of the wallpaper in the living room and in the hexagons of the floor tiles in the kitchen. In the bedroom, he reappears on the wallpaper, this time with a psychedelic pattern, in the upholstery of the chair and in the velvet of the headboard. In the bathroom again, roses - in the figure of a mosaic of Bisazza.
As it turns out, pink combines well with a variety of colors including lemon yellow, deep blue and light brown. But to see this, you have to be an artist. Painting became the key to the interior: the color scheme in the bedroom almost completely coincides with the palette of the painting on the wall. In the living room, the additional colors “came out” from the female portrait by Alexei Lantsev, an artist whose works are similar to jazz compositions.


As a result, the apartment radiates the joy of life and good mood. What her mistress wanted to receive, who chose optimistic pink from all colors.
