Starodachny village near Moscow, the house of the last century, renovation in beige tones. Agree, something here does not converge. But this is exactly what the dacha looked like, which for many years was shot by the customers of Anton, Xenia and Daniil Gerasimov from the design studio “A3”. The tenants managed to stick to this place and intended to live here and on, therefore they decided that the dull situation had to be changed. And quickly.

The walls of the two-light living room are painted with gray paint of four different shades. Her colors are repeated on the curtains. Painting customer brought from vacation in Europe. Sofas from IKEA; carpet Shape, Dovlet House.
The customer found the designers via the Internet and turned to them a couple of days before leaving for vacation with a request to update the interior during her absence. That is just a month. Designers came to the site to look around - and immediately received an advance and the keys to the house.

Two-light living room.
Let's say right away: the Gerasimovs didn’t keep within one month. The project went in two stages. First, the first floor was altered, where the public zone is located - it took about a month and a half. And during the next departure, customers brought to mind a bedroom on the third floor, also in about a month. The second floor with children's bedrooms was decided not to touch it. But considering the amount of work done, the project still turned out to be swift.

Living room. During the rework, the modern fireplace was dismantled, now its portal has acquired a more traditional look. Antique rocking chair - a find of designers.
The matter was not limited to changing the scenery - the designers slightly changed the layout of the house, repainted the walls, added stucco moldings, laid new floors and smoothed out the heritage of European-quality repairs. “There were radii everywhere from the 1990s, we all straightened it out,” the Gerasimovs say. For example, the steps of a staircase crawled out by curvilinear designs into the living room. I had to dismantle all this “beauty”. Like the cone-shaped portal of the fireplace, it was altered into a kind of Dutch oven, revealing white tiles and adding a decorative flap for greater persuasiveness.

The staircase was partially painted gray and a two-level podium was attached to it, which replaced the curvilinear design that occupied part of the living room.
The yellow-beige walls of the two-light living room were repainted with gray paint of four different shades. They go in tiers - the lightest stripe has the same width as the ceiling of the second floor gallery. The painting was supported by striped curtains made from fabrics matched to the walls. This technique, as the designers explain, made the space more harmonious.

An antique piano, plaster busts and a pair of chests appeared in the house after rework. The painting was partly chosen by the designers, partly by the customers themselves.
The third floor is almost entirely occupied by the master bedroom, the space of which is zoned: they put a bed in the middle, a headboard to a freshly built false wall, behind which storage systems are hidden. On the side, they allocated a place for a working area with an antique writing desk - they bought it at Avito, as well as some other things.

Kitchen. Customers bought an antique buffet, and designers added nostalgic curtains to it. Kitchen, IKEA; table textiles, linen, Marki Home; dishes, Crate and Barrel. Viennese chairs were already in the house, they did not even have to repaint.
Interestingly, following the results of the alterations in the house, almost no new things appeared - the designers made the most of what customers already had. And to give the right mood added to the interior a few antiques with character. As a result, as Gerasimov says, the project turned out to be interesting, but inexpensive.

The speed of the project is the merit of all its participants. First, lucky with the builders - the team worked quickly and well, and this is a rare combination. Secondly, the Gerasimovs did the interior, as they say, “from the wheels”, without detailed elaboration of the sketches. Well and thirdly, customers easily coordinated all their ideas. The only hitch came out at the stage of choosing boards for the floor, and even then only because the photos sent via the Internet made it difficult to understand their color.
While construction work was in full swing at the house, the customer didn’t get bored either: the Gerasimovs gave her a “vacation assignment” - they asked her to pick up ancient portraits in Europe to decorate the living room walls. She also chose the antique piano - the designers offered to complement the interior with a musical instrument, and she immediately set about trying to teach two children to play the piano. So the renovated house began to influence the lives of its inhabitants, making their life a little more traditional. As it should be in the good old cottage.
