Georgia O’Keeffe was mainly an outdoors trace interpreter. Her original versions of flowers, animal skeletons, clouds or skyscrapers pictures could only be contemplated in the raw, ‘going outdoors’. Sometimes she increased the scale, especially with the flowers, causing time to stop: what you always looked at with a quick glance became the object of meticulous and calm attention.
From abstraction, modernity and a feminine, solitary and pioneer condition Georgia reinterpreted the Navajo and Native American art. She has been our inspiration for this Space of the brand SUNBRELLA, the only producers of outdoor fabrics. A corner hidden in a courtyard, the only room in CASADECOR 2019 where the plants do not feed only on water and light, but on memory, talent and imagination.
