Galoupet London,UK英国伦敦的葡萄酒餐厅
Wine Revolution
Blacksheep was commissioned to create an intimate restaurant and lounge encompassing both public and private dining combined with a fine wine boutique showcasing wines from the client's award-winning Proven?al vineyard 'Chateau du Galoupet'. Located in the affluent London neighbourhood of Knightsbridge it was essential that the interior reflect the smart sophistication of the surrounding area, while appearing welcoming and accessible.
Galoupet offers 36 wines and four different champagnes by the glass through the use of Enomatic wine storage systems. Blacksheep subtly integrated these into the joinery of the wine store to allow shoppers and diners alike the chance to sample a variety of wines prior to purchase. Concealed ceiling lighting elements set into a swirl-shape promote an elegant, understated feel and serve to guide the customer into the restaurant beyond.
In the restaurant the combination of pale oak flooring, angled wall mirrors and the restrained palette of off-whites, silvers and golds enhances a pared-back, minimal luxe feel. Further reinforced by the pairing of Hans Wegner's 'wishbone' chairs with white leather button-backed banquettes.
On the lower level this palette is reinforced in the private dining room with a leather-embossed wall, antiqued mirrors and a limestone-effect ceramic floor. The lounge is imbued with a more glamorous, evening feel with darker tones of grey and luxurious textures in the form of a large brass-framed antique mirror, marbled black, white and gold wallpaper, graphite grey faux suede seating and patinated brass tables and stools.
