Talking about this project, it is difficult to resist the temptation to call it “Window to Paris”, if only because the main decorator, the Frenchwoman Wannina Buda, once had a boutique with the same name in Moscow.

Vannina studied Russian at the Institute of Oriental Languages ??and Civilizations, and at the same time she gained knowledge in the field of design, interning with famous Parisian decorators. Then there was a trip to Moscow on student exchanges. Despite the fact that then, in the mid-90s, Moscow was still not shining with lights, Vannina fell in love with this city, she wanted to live here. After receiving a diploma, she worked a year in France, and in 1997 she moved to Moscow.

Shortly before this, Yury Mamin’s comedy “Window to Paris” came out on screens - about a short journey to the French capital, hidden behind the door of an old cabinet. You take a step and you enter another life.

The Shop of Vannuda Bouda on Patriarch's Ponds became just such a window. TV shows were filmed there, interviews were conducted, not only for shopping, but also for inspiration. It was the first decor shop in Moscow, and it was located not far from the first private cafe “Margarita”.

The next step was the Rive Gauche French Home Decoration showroom - Wannina opened it on Ostozhenka at the beginning of 2000s and since then has taken orders for the design of apartments, houses, offices, restaurants and hotels not only in Moscow, but also in other cities and countries. Moscow has become for her a window into the big world, but the window to Paris has been preserved. All Vannin projects have a french imprint.

In this project, the most resounding French note was the use of mirrors. Large windows to the floor made it possible to make the view from the window part of the interior, to create the impression that the rooms have no borders, and the reflective surfaces, mirrors and glass doors reinforce this effect. In the dining room and kitchen mirrors reflect windows, expanding the space, adding light to it.

Hall. Cabinets and aged mirrors are made to order. Console, Hubsch; sconce, ST Davidts Lighting; lamps, Hubsch; picture of Irina Ratushnyak.
In the hall, a mirror cabinet and an aged full-length mirror opposite give a small volume lightness and spaciousness. In the master bedroom, a part of the corner cabinet with mirror facades hides the extra corners. In the bathroom mirror reflects the room and the window, unites the space.
