Ksenia Mezentseva wanted to be engaged in interior design since childhood, but went to her beloved business in a difficult way - through business education and MBA at Columbia University. Then there was the “Details” school and finally the beginning of a professional career.

The customer with whom they met at social events bought an apartment in the old fund and wanted to complete the repair already started as soon as possible. Xenia she called with a request “to help expand the moldings”. Having visited the object, which was at the stage of rough work, Ksenia proposed to make changes to the layout. Step by step ... And as a result, the apartment was completely rebuilt.
In a small apartment always have to prioritize. For the customer, who lives between London and Moscow, the main room was the bathroom. In the living room she wanted to see a fireplace, and she decided to refuse from the kitchen completely, so as not to waste any useful meters.
After redevelopment, the bathroom took pride of place in a room with a window. “Though it is miniature, but comfortable,” Ksenia comments. “Soft pink color, light Roman blinds and gray floor make her very girlish and at the same time rather strict.” Adjacent to the bedroom is a dressing room.
The kitchen in the apartment, of course, remained: it is hidden in the niche and is part of the lounge. In the lounge there is a fireplace, a soft, airy sofa, a small dining area. Since the apartment is small, I wanted to “expand” it to the maximum and create additional space. The window in the living room was turned into French, but on the contrary, in the hallway, a floor-to-ceiling mirror was installed. This technique visually enlarges the living room by half, creating the feeling of an extra room.
Ksenia is proud of this project. “The client told me that she wondered how comfortable she was here and how she wanted to spend more time here, invite guests, work and relax. Such a review for me is the best praise. It means that the colors, mood, and style were chosen correctly. ”
