The historic Art Nouveau building, in which the gastrobar opened, once belonged to Princess O.A. Turkestanova, and its original layout with large windows more than five meters high, illuminating the entire two-level space, became an indisputable advantage. “Our main task was to create a bright, memorable interior, comfortable for the guests of the establishment,” says Anastasia. Our space should provide guests with opportunities for quiet communication with each other and push for new acquaintances. ” It was decided to divide the restaurant into two parts. The main element of the first hall is a table connected to the bar where guests can decide on a drink and order it right there. Thanks to high ceilings and a spacious balcony, this room can also be used for private events. From the balcony, by the way, overlooks the huge circular ceiling lights, created specifically for this project. In the second hall with a soft landing and a muffled light chamber atmosphere reigns. In the design of one of the walls, custom-made 3D panels were used, and mirrors along the walls created the effect of expanded space, adding lightness and light. “Since the space had many features and required a competent layout, where every millimeter was important, we created sketches ourselves and made custom-made furniture. The only detail that we purchased for the decor of the place was the monkey Seletti, ”said Anastasia.Sapiens has its own ironic art object: five figures that demonstrate the gradual development of man, from Pithecanthropus to Homo sapiens, are painted on the wall along the steps of the stairs in the second hall.
