Designers of Taipei studio 45tilt believe that shopping should give emotions and inspiration. The furnishings of the store, which they designed for the Bonny & Read brand, turn the shopping process into an exciting game.

Taiwan's 45tilt design studio is two fragile girls, Ann Chen and Melon Chang, who have been successfully designing showrooms, corners and exhibition spaces. For the youth brand of accessories and jewelry Bonny & Read, they designed a new store in the center of Taipei.

Designers say that now, when it is already open, it is a special pleasure for them to observe the surprise of visitors. At first glance, the interior of the shop looks exactly like an American diner. Bar counters with high chairs, saucer stands, lightboxes with a flashing “menu” and, of course, the catchy style typical of eateries of the 1960s – 1980s are misleading: the floor is black and white, bright colors, shiny steel surfaces and pretty rounded shapes in the spirit of Airstream trailers.

In fact, the bar counters are tables for fitting jewelry, trays with drinks and sauces - the base of the mirrors, and the menu offers a choice of earrings, clips and sunglasses.

To make the shopping process even more exciting, the designers built a jukebox-style jukebox from the 1960s when entering the store. The bright perforated metal construction also serves as a showcase for accessories. With the help of the touchscreen built into it, guests can choose their favorite tunes and explore the assortment of the store to the music.

Designers are sure: in the digital era, when offline retail is fighting for every customer, the interior is one of the important success factors. The interesting situation of the new Bonny & Read, they believe, will surely attract a young audience who are equally in love with modern technology and retro-image.
