French architect Jacques Garcia's third project for the NoMad hotel chain, located in the newly opened Park MGM in Las Vegas, aims to transport the elegance of a European home to the flamboyant Strip.

Following the brands New York City flagship and Los Angeles outpost, the NoMad Las Vegas occupies the top four floors of the former Monte Carlo hotel.

The NoMad has 293 guest rooms and suites, each with oak hardwood floors, custom furnishings and original artwork curated by Paris- and New York-based design studio Be-poles.

Rooms feature plush leather headboards, paravent screens, and fully stocked vintage steamer trunks that replace traditional minibars. Bathrooms include pedestal bathtubs and an exclusive collection of Argan products.

The colour palette of this hotel-within-a-hotel is notably brighter than its New York and Los Angeles siblings, taking inspiration from the surrounding Mojave Desert.

The Las Vegas outpost also houses the first-ever NoMad Casino, which highlights the pentagonal Tiffany glass ceiling retained from the original Monte Carlo structure.

Garcia's geometric design of the high-limit room nods to the 20th-century origins of the building, as well as art deco nostalgia. Multiple visual references to the peacock nod to the bird's reputation as a good-luck charm.

"The casino provides an intimately refined space to play roulette, blackjack, and baccarat," said a statement from the NoMad group. "The high-limit gaming floor takes inspiration from the old-world glamour of European casinos and the playfulness of the hotel's new home on The Strip."

For the NoMad Restaurant, Garcia's design was influenced by the much-admired Royal Portuguese Cabinet of Reading in Rio de Janeiro.

The dining room's 23-foot (eight-metre) walls are stacked with David Rockefeller's personal library: a collection of 25,000 books. The soaring library shelves are accompanied by rose red leather banquets, twin chandeliers, and an 18th-century fireplace and staircase imported from France.
The adjacent NoMad Bar is draped in Bordeaux velvet, illuminated by amber glows, and framed with mahogany. There are also three private dining areas, named The Cellar, The Salon and The Parlour.

Garcia was commissioned to design NoMad Las Vegas by New York's Sydell Group, also behind the hotel brand's locations in Midtown Manhattan and Downtown LA.

Chef Daniel Humm and restaurateur Will Guidara oversee the NoMad Restaurant and Bar. The duo's hospitality group Make it Nice is best known for helming the three-Michelin star Eleven Madison Park in New York City.
